Omron Automation

Automate backup, version control, and recovery for Omron Sysmac Studio projects

Automated backups for Sysmac Studio

Sysmac Studio projects running your most critical lines may often be backed up manually, if at all. Teams commonly can find the latest copy sitting on an engineer’s laptop, on a USB drive in a drawer, or worse, nowhere. When something breaks, whether it’s a bad code push, a hardware failure, or a cyber incident, recovery may depend on who’s in the building and what they remember.

Copia gives Omron customers a system of record for NX and NJ controller code, so the last known verified version is always one click away and every change is accounted for.

How Copia works with Omron

1. Install

Deploy the lightweight DeviceLink agent on your manufacturing network. No changes required to your Sysmac controllers or your Sysmac Studio installation.

2. Schedule

Set a backup cadence that fits your operation, hourly, daily, or on demand. The agent pulls Sysmac Studio project data from your NJ and NX-series controllers locally.

3. Sync

Backups move from the agent to Copia over outbound HTTPS only. No inbound connections into your OT network and no exposed ports on your controllers.

4. Manage

Every backup lands in Copia’s Git-based source control, where engineers can compare versions, detect changes, and restore the last known good project in minutes.
